Leisure

A visit to a show cave is, in our opinion, something a little different. It offers people the chance to experience the natural wonders of the subterranean world without having to dress in special gear and lug equipment around. Paths and lights let you walk past cascading waterfalls, and between massive banks of flowstone, to the massive ice-age cavern with its thousands of stalactites.

Prices

The discounted admission prices for groups of 15+ paying visitors are Adult (16+) £13.00 and Child £9.00

Booking

The cave is available for group visits seven days per week, summer and winter. To arrange a group booking please telephone the cave between 10am and 5pm on 015242 41244. Please also see important information here.

FAQ

What size groups do we cater for?

Minimum 12 – large groups will be split for the cave walk. (Please note: if your group has fewer than 15 paying visitors, your guide may also be escorting other visitors.)

Why bring your group to White Scar Cave?

The cave enjoys a magnificent setting in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, yet is surprisingly accessible because of excellent transport links. Our large vehicle park is right beside a main road, and the cave entrance and visitor centre are a two minute walk from the parking area.

On the tour around White Scar Cave your guide will point out features of interest, explain the history of the cave, and answer questions.

The area round White Scar Cave is rich in beautiful landscapes, natural features and visitor attractions. A walk down the cave can be combined with a visit to an above-ground attraction, making a satisfying and enjoyable tour of the dales.
